Cabramatta
Chemistry tutor in Cabramatta
HSC chemistry tutoring is for students already in the senior course, or about to start it. Years 7 to 10 meet chemical ideas inside Science, not in a separate chemistry class.
PlaceholderSyllabus topics are a typical NSW outline. Confirm class availability, fees and the current timetable before you enrol.
Syllabus areas
Module names below are the familiar NESA Chemistry structure. Confirm them against the current syllabus before you treat the list as final.
Year 11
- Properties and structure of matter
- Introduction to quantitative chemistry
- Reactive chemistry
- Drivers of reactions
Year 12
- Equilibrium and acid reactions
- Acid/base reactions
- Organic chemistry
- Applying chemical ideas
Years
- Year 11Year 11 chemistry is moles, structure and why reactions happen. Students who are shaky on algebra feel it here. Lessons put the calculation on paper and make the student finish it, units included.
- Year 12Year 12 chemistry is equilibrium, acids, organic reactions and the longer application questions. Past-paper practice is the method once the idea is stable. A highlighted summary is not a substitute for working the question.
Class format
- HSC chemistry assumes the student is enrolled in the school course.
- Bring the data sheet, the formula sheet the exam allows, and the question that went wrong.
- Junior students looking for chemistry are usually better in Science until Year 11.
- Class times, fees and whether this course is running this term are confirmed by phone. They are not listed on this page yet.
